In Greater Noida's Surajpur area, a shocking crime unfolded as a 29-year-old woman and her lover were apprehended on Tuesday. They are accused of strangling her 30-year-old husband, Vijay, to death on Monday evening.
The investigation began after neighbors alerted police when the woman claimed her husband died suddenly from a stomach ache. Upon examination, authorities discovered marks on the victim's neck, and an autopsy confirmed strangulation as the cause of death.
It was revealed that the accused woman and Gurdeep, 31, had been in a relationship for four years. The woman had reportedly left her husband a year prior to live with Gurdeep, but her husband's presence allegedly posed a problem for their relationship.
Police stated that approximately 15 days before the incident, the woman invited Gurdeep to reside with her. On Monday, the couple allegedly used a scarf to strangle Vijay. Gurdeep fled the scene, while the woman attempted to conceal the murder by attributing her husband's death to illness. The recovered scarf has been identified as the murder weapon.
The couple shared three children, all under 13 years of age. These children are currently residing with their grandparents in Belon village.
