Summary
- Couple found dead with gunshot wounds inside a locked car.
- A chilling final message from the man blames the woman for his death.
- Man's family alleges caste-based threats and murder, disputing suicide.

On February 14, Valentine's Day, a man and a woman were found dead with gunshot wounds inside a car locked from the inside near Sector 107 in Noida. The deceased have been identified as Sumit, 32, from Delhi, and Rekha, 26, from Noida. A pistol was recovered from Sumit's hand, leading police to suggest a possible suicide.
However, Sumit's family has contested this, alleging that the couple may have been murdered due to casteism. A relative stated that the couple had been together for 12-15 years, but Rekha's family had objected to their relationship due to different castes. The family also claimed they had received threats, including international calls warning of police action.
Both families had filed missing person reports. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities examining all evidence, including the family's allegations of caste-based threats, alongside the initial findings of a locked car and a weapon at the scene.
