A traffic police constable sustained injuries in Greater Noida's Sector P3 after a car driver allegedly attempted to run him over while he was on duty at a busy roundabout on Wednesday afternoon. Constable Gurmeet Chaudhary was managing traffic congestion when a speeding red Hyundai car ignored his signals.
The driver reportedly began abusing Constable Chaudhary, claiming to be in a hurry. When the constable attempted to stop the vehicle near the Army Welfare Housing Organisation residential project, the driver allegedly rammed the car into him, causing him to land on the bonnet.
The driver continued to speed for approximately 400 to 500 meters with the constable on the vehicle's front, despite his cries for help. The car eventually stopped, and the constable was able to get free. He sustained injuries but was reported to be in stable condition.
