No Drugs Found in Noah Donohoe's Body Samples
18 Mar
Summary
- No drug traces found in Noah Donohoe's body samples.
- Unstable drugs could degrade before post-mortem analysis.
- Alcohol influence was excluded based on test results.

Inquests into the death of Noah Donohoe heard that toxicology experts found no traces of drugs in samples taken from his body. Forensic scientist Amy Quinn and toxicology consultant Dr. Simon Elliott presented their findings, confirming that alcohol was also excluded as a factor. The experts clarified that while tests showed no drug presence, the analysis was not exhaustive due to the thousands of potential substances, including hundreds of variations of 'spice'.
They explained that unstable drugs can degrade and become undetectable by the time post-mortem samples are analyzed, a process that occurred on July 2, 2020, following Noah's disappearance on June 27, 2020. This degradation means the possibility of unstable drugs cannot be completely excluded. Dr. Elliott noted that some drugs disappear within hours. The level of testing applied was consistent with that used in murder investigations.
