Authorities in Mount Holly, New Jersey, responded to a distressing discovery made by a postal worker on Friday morning. The postal carrier observed a note secured to the front door of a residence, which read "9-1-1 Inside" and featured unsettling drawings of faces with Xs for eyes. This alarming message prompted the postal worker to contact law enforcement.
Upon entering the home, officers tragically found three deceased individuals. Preliminary neighbor accounts suggest the residents may have been siblings in their 60s, though this has not been officially confirmed by investigators. The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and Mount Holly Township Police Department are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths and the origin of the note.
Police Chief Clifford Spencer has acknowledged the community's concern and emphasized that public safety remains a top priority. Officials have stated that there is no current threat to the public. Autopsies are scheduled over the weekend to shed light on how the individuals died.
