Emuobosan Emanuella Hall, a Nigerian citizen and U.S. permanent resident living in Atlanta, has evaded justice after failing to begin an eight-year prison sentence. A warrant was issued for her arrest on April 14, 2026, after she missed her March 25, 2026, surrender date.
Hall was charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit money laundering. She accepted a plea deal and was sentenced in January 2026 to 96 months in prison. Investigators found her last known location to be Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on March 24, 2026, where her GPS device was disabled.
Prosecutors allege Hall and her co-defendant, Kenneth Akpieyi, posed as wealthy foreign individuals to defraud victims. They met victims on social media, fostered romantic relationships, and then requested money for fabricated emergencies. Hall was responsible for defrauding victims out of $851,207.
Hall reportedly traveled towards Dulles Airport outside Washington, D.C., but her trail has gone cold. Her co-defendant, Akpieyi, was sentenced to 25 years in prison and has been incarcerated since his sentencing in July 2025. Hall faces an additional decade in prison if apprehended.
