Actress's Lover Kills TV Exec: Dismembered Body Found

In May 2008, television executive Neeraj Grover went missing after visiting actress Maria Susairaj's Mumbai apartment. Initially reported as a missing person, the case quickly unraveled into a shocking murder. Investigators discovered Grover had been killed by Susairaj's fiancé, naval officer Emile Jerome Mathew, following a confrontation.

The aftermath involved a gruesome attempt to conceal the crime. Grover's body was dismembered, packed into bags, and transported to a forest near Amgaon village. There, Jerome allegedly set the remains on fire.

Susairaj claimed she was coerced by Mathew, who had traveled from Kochi to Mumbai upon hearing Grover's voice in her apartment. She stated Mathew threatened her, leading her to assist in disposing of the body.

Despite their efforts, flaws in their cover-up, including an accidental phone call on Grover's mobile, led investigators to the couple. In 2011, a Mumbai court convicted Maria Susairaj of destroying evidence and Emile Jerome Mathew of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and destruction of evidence.
