The Beulah Convention and Visitors Bureau has had its charitable gaming license revoked by the North Dakota Attorney General's Office. This action, taken on Monday, also includes a $50,000 fine and a mandate for the organization to repay over $398,000.
Investigations revealed that the bureau falsely reported nearly $278,000 in gaming proceeds and improperly used nearly $100,000 in net proceeds for ineligible purposes, including debt acquisition. These findings led to the license revocation and financial penalties.
In separate actions, several unnamed individuals have been suspended from charitable gaming activities. Furthermore, the gaming site at Uncle Maddio's Pizza in Minot received a 90-day suspension due to serious violations and a lack of cooperation with investigators.
