Nashik Man Kills Wife, Son, Then Attempts Suicide

In Nashik, a shocking incident unfolded late Sunday night when a 54-year-old man allegedly murdered his wife and seven-year-old son before attempting suicide. The deceased have been identified as Ashwini Hazare and her son, Shreyash. The grim discovery was made Monday around 11 am by a neighbor who peered into the family's chawl residence, finding the mother and child dead and the accused, Kiran Hazare, unconscious.

According to police, Hazare used a hacksaw blade to slash the victims' necks during a severe domestic dispute. He then ingested a poisonous substance in an attempt to end his own life. Hazare, an oxygen cylinder supplier, was found alive but critically injured and is currently receiving treatment at Bytco Hospital, guarded by the police. Preliminary investigations suggest persistent domestic discord, as this was the second marriage for both Kiran and Ashwini. The Nashik Road police are registering a First Information Report (FIR) and are thoroughly investigating the circumstances leading to this tragedy.
