12 Feb
Summary
- A black glove was found near Nancy Guthrie's home.
- The glove was discovered by FBI's Evidence Response Team.
- Surveillance footage showed suspect wearing similar gloves.

A significant potential clue has been recovered in the ongoing investigation into the presumed abduction of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie. Federal agents recently discovered a black glove located approximately a mile and a half from her Tucson-area residence. This finding comes shortly after the release of surveillance footage showing an unidentified man, wearing gloves, a ski mask, and a holstered gun, approaching Guthrie's home and disabling her security camera.
The FBI's Evidence Response Team reportedly retrieved the glove from desert brush near the roadside. While authorities have not officially linked the glove to the suspect seen on camera, its appearance is notably similar to the gloves worn by the individual in the released footage. Investigators are expected to conduct forensic analysis, including DNA testing, on the recovered item.
The presence of federal agents and sheriff's deputies remains consistent in Nancy Guthrie's neighborhood as the search continues. The FBI has placed a $50,000 reward for information leading to Guthrie's recovery and/or the arrest and conviction of those involved in her disappearance.
