In Nagpur, an act of apparent kindness by three engineering students turned fatal for a drunk driver. The students encountered 44-year-old spare parts supplier Suchit Bhojapure in his car late on a Thursday night. Initially offering to assist, they ended up driving him to Bhiwapur and then towards his home.
A call to Bhojapure's wife reportedly led the students to believe he was unloved, sparking a plan to steal his car and phones. They allegedly drove him to a secluded spot near a crematorium, murdered him by smashing his skull with stones, and disposed of his body in bushes.
Bhojapure's father reported him missing, and his body was discovered the next morning. Within 12 hours, crime branch teams identified and apprehended the three students. Evidence, including CCTV footage and Aryan Shende's confession, led to their arrest. They have been charged with murder and remanded to police custody.
