In Mussoorie, authorities detained nine tourists on Saturday morning due to alleged disruptive behavior on Mall Road. The incident occurred near Ambedkar Chowk, where the group reportedly created a ruckus, obstructed traffic, and filmed videos while standing on a barrier. Local shopkeepers attempted to intervene, leading to an altercation with the tourists.
Following the incident, police took nine individuals into custody. Seven of the detained tourists hailed from Haryana, with one each from Punjab and Rajasthan. Senior sub-inspector Satender Bhati confirmed that challans were issued against them under Section 81 of the Uttarakhand Police Act, 2007. The tourists were subsequently released after facing legal action.
