Murder Accused Shot, Arrested in Police Encounter

Early Saturday morning, a joint police team from Saiyyedraja and Chandauli successfully apprehended Savru Yadav, a 19-year-old accused of a fatal dispute on November 23. The arrest occurred near Kalyanpur village following intelligence about Yadav's presence in the area.
Upon realizing he was cornered, Yadav reportedly fired at the officers. Police retaliated, resulting in a bullet injury to Yadav's leg. He was subsequently taken into custody, along with a pistol and cartridges, and admitted to a local hospital. A constable, Vishnu Dutt Prajapati, also sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
During interrogation, Yadav confessed to killing an individual on the night of November 23 with accomplices, attributing the motive to a road rage incident. He had been involved in criminal activities since 2024.
