Wife Brutally Murdered on Mumbai Street

A tragic incident unfolded on Sag Baug Road at Marol on Saturday afternoon, where a 46-year-old man allegedly murdered his wife. The accused, identified as autorickshaw driver Rajesh Chhatre, reportedly attacked his wife with a knife, stabbing her multiple times.

Police were informed and registered an FIR late Saturday night, leading to Chhatre's arrest. The motive appears to stem from the wife's refusal to live with him. Investigators believe the crime was premeditated, as the accused allegedly brought the knife to the scene.

Evidence collected includes the alleged murder weapon and bloodstained clothing from both the victim and the accused. Chhatre resides in Powai, and the investigation is ongoing as authorities process the collected forensic evidence.
