Railway Probes Viral Video of Passenger-TC Argument

A preliminary inquiry has been initiated by railway authorities following the viral circulation of a video depicting an argument on a Mumbai local train. The dispute reportedly stemmed from a passenger speaking Marathi. The video shows a passenger recording an interaction, alleging that railway staff denied him assistance due to his use of Marathi. A Ticket Checker intervened, asserting his own Marathi-speaking identity and suggesting the passenger direct his concerns to him. Both the passenger and the Ticket Checker subsequently approached the Government Railway Police at Andheri seeking action. Railway officials confirmed they are investigating the video and the overall incident, promising appropriate measures once the preliminary investigation concludes.
