Amin Belechguer, 29, received a four-year prison sentence at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday, following 21 convictions for dangerous driving. He was found guilty of a series of offenses, including filming himself riding a high-powered motorcycle at speeds up to 189mph while intentionally trying to incite police chases.
Officers first encountered Belechguer on June 27, 2025, on the A20 near Maidstone. He was observed riding an unplated Kawasaki motorcycle at high speed and then deliberately slowed, attempting to lure officers into a pursuit. During this encounter, he exceeded 130mph on a single-carriageway road with lower speed limits and crossed solid white lines into oncoming traffic.
Despite officers aborting the initial chase due to safety concerns, a stinger device was deployed further along the route, puncturing Belechguer's tires. He attempted to flee into bushes but was apprehended. Examination of his digital devices revealed extensive footage of dangerous riding across Kent, London, and Essex, from July 7, 2024, onwards, including riding at double speed limits, performing wheelies, and running red lights.
In addition to his custodial sentence, Belechguer's motorcycle was ordered to be permanently confiscated. He will also be subject to a 10-year driving ban upon his release from prison. The investigation officer highlighted Belechguer's lack of remorse and disregard for road safety, emphasizing that the sentence will enhance public safety.
