- Recovered bones were animal, not human, so far.
- Three of his five wives officially died by suicide.

A chilling new documentary series, 'My Killer Father: The Green Hollow Murders,' is set to premiere on Paramount+ on Tuesday, April 28. The three-part series delves into allegations that Donald Studey, who died in 2013, was a serial killer known as the 'Monster of Green Hollow.'
One of Studey's daughters claims she witnessed him disposing of bodies in a stone water well, speeding decomposition with lye. Another daughter, however, vehemently denies these accusations, calling them a lie. To date, only animal bones have been recovered from the alleged burial site.
Further intensifying the mystery, three of Studey's five wives officially died by suicide during the 1970s, a period when the docuseries claims the murders began. This rate is statistically far higher than the average suicide rate in Iowa at the time, raising significant questions about Studey's life and the deaths surrounding him.
