Mother Accused of Poisoning Husband Now Faces Perjury Charges
23 Dec
Summary
- Mother faces perjury and evidence tampering charges in custody dispute.
- She allegedly used nephew for a court-ordered DNA paternity test.
- Hogan was previously arrested for attempting to poison her husband.

Kristen Hogan, a Connecticut mother, now faces additional charges of perjury and evidence tampering. These charges arise from an ongoing custody and paternity dispute with her husband. Previously arrested in December 2025 for allegedly attempting to poison her husband in August 2025, Hogan is accused of submitting a falsified DNA test to a court.
During a custody hearing in June 2023, Hogan claimed her husband was not their son's biological father and presented a child for a DNA test. However, evidence revealed she brought her nephew, not her son, to the testing facility. Investigators confirmed the boy's identity through social media and by observing him refer to Hogan's sister as 'Mommy'.
Hogan turned herself in on December 18, 2025, posting a $50,000 bond. Her attempted murder case remains pending, with a court appearance scheduled for January 27, 2026. The judge expressed doubt about Hogan's truthful testimony regarding the DNA test after reviewing surveillance footage.
