7 Jan
Summary
- Daughter's body found in a tote bag in a Kentucky storage unit.
- Mother confessed to starving the child, who was reportedly never fed.
- Mother extradited to Indiana to face additional abuse and neglect charges.

Chyanne Porter, 30, faces new charges in Indiana after her extradition from Kentucky. She was previously convicted in December 2024 for complicity in criminal abuse, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse. These charges stemmed from the discovery of Alianna Maya Gomez-Alvarez's body, who was last seen in November 2021 and later found deceased in a tote bag in a Kentucky storage unit.
Indiana authorities now accuse Porter of years of systematic abuse, including starvation, against her boyfriend Jose Gomez-Alvarez's 9-year-old daughter. Statements from Porter's own children detailed the horrific neglect, alleging Alianna was never fed and was severely underweight. The children also reportedly told detectives that Porter and Gomez-Alvarez provided better care for their shared children than for Alianna or Gomez-Alvarez's other children.
