Mom Arrested After Son Injured While She Was in Vegas

Irene Miller, 50, faces child neglect allegations after her 9-year-old son sustained a head injury. This occurred while she was in Las Vegas for work and her four children, aged 9 to 14, were left without overnight adult supervision. Miller reportedly told deputies she had arranged for a babysitter to check on the children but not stay with them throughout the night.

Deputies contacted Miller on October 21, informing her of her son's injury, but she allegedly dismissed the call, stating she was working and unavailable. The 9-year-old was released from the hospital and the children were placed with their father. The father, Mark Miller, who had a restraining order against Irene, has pleaded not guilty to battery charges. Irene Miller was arrested on October 23 upon her return to Florida and charged with four counts of child neglect.
