Mom Abandons Kids in Uber, Faces Neglect Charges

Emily Sabogal, 32, was arrested on February 13 after allegedly abandoning her two young children with an Uber driver in South Florida. The driver reported that Sabogal, who appeared intoxicated, left the children with him for about two hours, prompting him to contact the Sunrise Police Department. The children were found in good health but expressed concern for their mother.
Prior to the Uber incident, staff at Bob G's Wings N' Things reported Sabogal had left her children unsupervised while she consumed alcohol. The children's father expressed deep concern and intends to seek full custody. Sabogal was released on bond on February 16. She faces charges including neglect of a child and desertion.
