Youth Murdered After Breaking Up Fight in Mohali

Seven individuals, including two minors, have been apprehended by Mohali police in relation to the recent murder of Gursewak Singh Bhangu. The 27-year-old victim was fatally injured on the night of February 13-14 after intervening in a dispute between two groups in Phase-11.
According to authorities, Gursewak Singh Bhangu was returning from a temple when he encountered the youths engaged in a heated argument. His attempt to mediate escalated into a physical confrontation, during which he was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon.
The victim was rushed to a hospital but passed away on Monday morning. An autopsy revealed that the weapon ruptured his liver, causing fatal internal bleeding. The arrested adults were presented in court and remanded for further questioning, while the juveniles were sent to a reformatory home.
Police have officially registered a murder charge against the suspects and are investigating the antecedents of 15 other individuals detained for questioning. Authorities have pledged strict action against anti-social elements to prevent future incidents.
