Mom Charged After Nearly Hitting Police Car

Jamie Earp, a 1985-born resident of Pierce City, Missouri, has been charged with multiple felonies and a misdemeanor. The charges stem from an incident on August 10, 2026, when an officer observed her black Chevy Silverado nearly collide with a patrol vehicle near Commercial Street and Lawrence 2230.
When the officer initiated emergency lights and sirens, Earp fled at high speeds, reaching 80 to 90 mph. She reportedly disregarded several stop signs and failed to maintain her lane during the pursuit. The chase concluded near Wallaby and Gum Road in Newton County, where Earp exited the vehicle and fled into a field with three juveniles.
Law enforcement took Earp into custody, and the juveniles were safely recovered. Earp admitted to having a "dirty pipe" in the center console. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a pill bottle containing a baggie with a crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. A criminal summons has been issued for October 1, 2026.
