Charges have been filed against a Chatfield police officer, Kenneth Gallion, 61, following a DUI-related crash in Bloomington, Minnesota. The incident occurred around midnight on Thursday, May 21, 2026, near West 94th Street and Lyndale Avenue South.
Officers responded to a report of an SUV driving erratically before crashing. They found Gallion, who had just finished an off-duty job, disoriented and smelling strongly of alcohol. His speech was slurred, and he indicated he didn't know his location, mistakenly believing he was in Rochester.
Sobriety tests revealed Gallion's blood alcohol content was 0.273, more than three times the legal limit. He was in full uniform, carrying his service weapon, which officers secured. Gallion faces multiple charges and is scheduled for a court hearing next month.
