A domestic dispute in Missouri escalated to a fatal shooting, with Alan Michael Mellow charged with first-degree murder. Mellow allegedly shot Hannah Lee Blizard, the mother of his three-month-old child, during an argument in a vehicle. Their infant was present in the car at the time of the incident.
Mellow reportedly told investigators the dispute was about Blizard's alleged alcohol use and theft of coins. He claimed Blizard planned to leave with their son, prompting him to take the child and, when Blizard approached their car, he shot her multiple times.
The suspect surrendered to police with the child shortly after the shooting. He now faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder and child endangerment, and is being held in Barry County Jail without bond.
