Houston Search: Missing Woman, 24, Vanishes After Visit

Authorities in Houston, Texas, are actively searching for Sydney Marquez, a 24-year-old woman last seen on December 11. She had been visiting friends in the city when she disappeared. Her father, Raul Marquez, reported that her vehicle was found abandoned on Bellaire Boulevard that same day, with the keys still in the ignition.

Adding to the concern, Sydney left her phone behind, which her family states is highly unusual for her. The family has traveled from El Paso to Houston to participate in the ongoing search efforts, describing the situation as a "nightmare."

Raul Marquez revealed that his daughter was diagnosed with late-onset bipolar schizophrenia about a year ago and had recently stopped taking her prescribed medication. He believes she may have boarded a METRO bus, but its camera systems were reportedly not functioning at the time. The family is pleading for her safe return.
