Authorities recently conducted an extensive search for missing Queensland teenager Phoebe Bishop earlier this year. During this period, a 30-year-old man allegedly accessed and used Bishop's mobile phone, adding a perplexing layer to the investigation.
Bishop was reported missing after she failed to board a flight to visit her boyfriend in Western Australia on May 15. A significant search operation involving specialized units commenced. Her housemates, James Wood and Tanika Bromley, were later charged with murder in connection with her disappearance.
The discovery of Bishop's body in remote Good Night Scrub National Park, situated 60 kilometers southwest of Bundaberg, concluded the intensive search efforts. The area where her remains were found is a significant distance from her residence in Gin Gin.
