Mother's Plea: Missing Rugby Star Vanished in Spain
7 Nov
Summary
- Levi Davis disappeared from a Barcelona pub in October 2022.
- Police's most plausible theory suggests he drowned at sea.
- His family continues searching for answers four years later.
Four years after British rugby player Levi Davis disappeared in Spain, his mother has issued a heartfelt appeal for information. Davis, who played for clubs including Bath Rugby, was last seen leaving a pub in Barcelona on October 29, 2022. He was reported missing by his family a week later.
His mother, Julie Davis, described him as a fun-loving and caring individual, emphasizing the heartbreak and overwhelming emotional weight of living with a missing loved one. Davis, originally from Birmingham, had been working in Ibiza before traveling to Barcelona.
CCTV footage shows him leaving a pub, and his last known contact was a voice note after midnight on October 30, 2022. Police in Catalonia concluded their investigation in 2024, stating their most plausible hypothesis was that Levi had drowned at sea. His family, however, is committed to uncovering the truth and has urged UK police to lead the investigation.
The Missing People charity is supporting the family and has appealed to anyone with information about Levi's disappearance to contact their helpline on 116 000.
