Two men, William Hutchinson, 31, and Stuart Tallis, 27, who were reported missing, have been tragically discovered deceased. They were last seen in the early hours of June 24. Their bodies were found on July 4 inside a blue Peugeot 106 belonging to Hutchinson.
The vehicle was located in Lancashire, hidden from view within thick undergrowth off the A584 Preston New Road. Investigators were led to the car following information that suggested the two men might have been together during the respective searches for them.
Sgt. Martin Wilcock of Lancashire Police stated that while formal identification is pending, they believe the deceased are Hutchinson and Tallis. He expressed condolences to the loved ones, acknowledging the difficult circumstances of the discovery after extensive searches.
Police are now appealing to the public for further assistance. They are requesting information from any witnesses who may have seen Hutchinson's blue vehicle on Preston New Road around 5:30 a.m. on June 24, the estimated time the car left the carriageway. They also urge anyone with dashcam footage from that time to come forward to aid the investigation into the collision.
