He was last observed at a service station on the M74 in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, on the evening of Monday, November 3rd. His vehicle, a silver Vauxhall Corsa, was later discovered in a secluded area between Pitagowan and Dalwhinnie in the Highlands on Friday, November 7th.
A dedicated team of officers has been diligently pursuing extensive inquiries. Their efforts have included reviewing more than 100 hours of CCTV footage. Furthermore, specialist resources, such as police dogs and helicopters, along with support from partner agencies, have been integral to the ongoing search operations.
Inspector Stephen Gray stressed the importance of public assistance, stating, "One month on, there have been no new confirmed sightings of Eugen, but we are doing all we can to find him." He urged anyone who may have seen Comanescu or someone matching his description to contact the police, emphasizing that any information, no matter how insignificant it may appear, could be vital.
