Summary
- Retired general William McCasland has been missing since February 27.
- Wife downplays military secrets and UFO consultant links.
- Search efforts are ongoing with no signs of foul play.

William "Neil" McCasland, a 68-year-old retired U.S. Air Force general, has been missing for nearly two weeks. He was last seen at his home in Albuquerque on February 27. His wife, Susan McCasland Wilkerson, has shared that extensive search efforts, involving numerous individuals, aerial surveillance, and specialized dogs, have yielded no clues to his whereabouts. She clarified that McCasland's disappearance is not believed to be due to disorientation, despite a silver alert being issued.
While McCasland previously commanded the Air Force Research Laboratory and had access to classified information, his wife suggested it's unlikely his past secrets are the reason for his vanishing, as he retired 13 years ago. She also addressed his past connection as an unpaid consultant on UFO matters for Tom DeLonge, stating this link is not a motive for abduction. Authorities have found no immediate signs of foul play. The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office is urging anyone who may have been in the Sandia Mountains around February 27 or 28 and potentially saw McCasland or recorded anything relevant to come forward.
