Sreekutty, a native of Palode, has demonstrated a remarkable recovery after sustaining a severe brain injury and other critical injuries. The incident, occurring on November 2, involved her allegedly being pushed from an unreserved coach of the Kerala Express near Varkala. She was initially treated at Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram before being transferred to Amrita Hospital. There, she underwent a tracheostomy to aid her breathing and received a feeding tube. Through a comprehensive neuro-rehabilitation program, specialists from various disciplines, including neurology and orthopedics, collaborated to restore her health.
