A shocking murder has been reported in the Aurai police station area of Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where a 36-year-old migrant worker was found dead. The victim, Rakesh Das, had recently returned to Sakim Patori village on January 27 after a prolonged period of work in Delhi. He reportedly left his home late on Thursday night and did not return, prompting a worried search by his family throughout Friday.
Family members discovered Rakesh on Saturday morning near the dam of the Mahuara River. He was found with severe injury marks and was taken to a local primary health centre, where he was pronounced dead. The SHO of Aurai police station, Raja Singh, stated that the investigation is ongoing, and the main accused is currently absconding. Police are actively conducting raids to apprehend the culprits, with family members accusing individuals from a neighboring village.
Authorities are exploring all angles of the investigation, with the current leading hypothesis suggesting the crime may be connected to an illicit relationship. The post-mortem examination has been conducted, and statements from the victim's family have been recorded. The police have assured that the perpetrators will be identified and arrested promptly.
