Crime Boss Shot: Vigilant Drivers Sought by Police

A targeted execution attempt on crime figure Fadi Haddara on Sunday night has left him in critical condition. Police report that Haddara, 48, was ambushed in his Altona North driveway after the assailants surveilled his home for approximately an hour. A white Holden Commodore, seen repeatedly driving past Haddara's Marigold Avenue residence, is of significant interest to investigators.

Haddara sustained life-threatening injuries and is currently hospitalized, with several bullets still lodged in his body. The attack occurred less than three hours after the suspicious vehicle was observed in the vicinity. Police are actively seeking the public's help, particularly anyone with dashcam footage from the area on Sunday afternoon and evening, to identify the vehicle and its occupants.

While Haddara has recently been accused of involvement in the illicit tobacco trade, his associates claim he had been living a low-key life. Authorities are on alert for potential retaliatory attacks following the shooting, emphasizing the narrow margin between injury and homicide in such incidents. Information is being sought from anyone who can assist the investigation.
