Chandler Bing's Ketamine Supplier Sentenced to Prison
14 May
Summary
- Addiction counsellor sentenced to two years in federal prison.
- He supplied ketamine to Matthew Perry in his final days.
- Five individuals charged have pleaded guilty in the case.

Erik Fleming, a licensed addiction counsellor, received a two-year federal prison sentence for his role in supplying the ketamine that caused actor Matthew Perry's death in October 2023. Fleming admitted to acting as an intermediary and delivering ketamine to Perry during the actor's final days, pleading guilty in 2024 to conspiracy to distribute ketamine and distribution resulting in death.
During his sentencing, Fleming expressed profound remorse, calling the situation a "nightmare." Court documents revealed he helped distribute 52 vials of ketamine to Perry in October 2023, including the fatal dose. Perry's death was attributed to the acute effects of ketamine, followed by drowning.
Authorities uncovered a network exploiting Perry's addiction. To date, all five individuals charged have pleaded guilty. Jasveen Sangha, the principal supplier, received 15 years in April 2026. Kenneth Iwamasa admitted to administering ketamine injections, while Dr. Mark Chavez and Dr. Salvador Plasencia received sentences of home detention and 30 months in prison, respectively.
