Former child actor Matt Prokop was taken into custody on December 24 in Victoria County, Texas. The 35-year-old faces a serious list of charges, most notably a second-degree felony for possession of child pornography. His current whereabouts are the Victoria County Sheriff's Office Jail.
Prokop is also charged with four misdemeanor offenses, including evading arrest and violating a protective order. These recent charges cast a shadow over past allegations of domestic abuse made against him by his ex-girlfriend, Sarah Hyland, during their five-year relationship.
Hyland had previously secured a restraining order against Prokop in September 2014, citing incidents of alleged physical abuse and threats. As of January 10, 2026, Prokop's court appearance details have not been released.
