In Jaipur, a 28-year-old man, identified as Abhishek alias Ankit, was apprehended on Saturday. He is accused of breaking into a locked residence and stealing a prestigious gallantry medal. This medal was posthumously awarded to Lance Havildar Shishpal Singh for his bravery during the 1961 Goa Liberation War.
The recovery of the medal was confirmed by the police. The case began when Vikram Singh, the 35-year-old grandson of Lance Havildar Shishpal Singh, filed a complaint at the Anupgarh police station. The recovered medal represents a significant piece of military history and has been returned.
