Griffin, Georgia – A manhunt is underway for Carlos Elder, who is wanted by the Griffin Police Department on multiple serious charges. These include aggravated assault by strangulation, battery under family violence laws, kidnapping, and false imprisonment.
Police were alerted to the situation on February 10th when a woman reported that her boyfriend, Elder, had held her captive in his home. She alleged that he assaulted her for the duration of the night. The victim sustained injuries including being hit, stroked, and bitten before she managed to escape the following day.
Elder remains at large, and his current whereabouts are unknown. Law enforcement has issued a warning that he is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding his location is urged to contact 911 or the Griffin Police Department.
