- Sold radioactive plutonium and toxic thallium to 67 and 71 customers.
- Previous convictions include child pornography and explosive devices.
Jacob D. Miller, 44, has pleaded guilty to several federal charges, including unlawfully importing nuclear material, mailing hazardous substances, and possessing child pornography. These pleas stem from his operation of a business called Collect The Periodic Table (CTPT), through which he illegally sold radioactive plutonium and toxic thallium to customers across the U.S. and internationally between December 2020 and March 2025. He also shipped these hazardous materials via U.S. mail, disregarding prohibitions.
Miller's illegal activities were discovered during a search of his Massachusetts residence in April 2025, which yielded explosive powder, ammunition, and firearms. Possession of these items was unlawful due to his prior felony convictions in 2004 for child pornography and possessing explosive devices. Digital devices found at his home contained child sexual abuse material, recently accessed. His sentencing is set for January 21.
