In Jaipur, police apprehended a 27-year-old man on Sunday evening for the alleged murder of his wife. The accused, Ravindra Mukhiya, is suspected of strangling Sushila Devi, aged 26, after a domestic argument at their rented residence in Bagru on Saturday.
Reports indicate Mukhiya struggled with alcohol addiction, which led to frequent disputes with his wife. Following a significant argument on Friday, Sushila had temporarily moved to her sister's nearby home with their children.
Ravindra reportedly brought her back on Saturday after family counseling. However, another argument ensued later that day. When Sushila's sister couldn't reach her, she discovered Sushila deceased, with signs of strangulation and head injuries.
Upon arrival at the scene in an intoxicated state, Ravindra exhibited suspicious behavior, pretending to be distraught and injuring himself to mislead investigators. He confessed to assaulting and strangling his wife during the subsequent interrogation after sobering up.
