Man Bites Cop After Brutal Kidnapping and Robbery

Deptford Township police apprehended a 32-year-old Camden man on Thursday, accusing him of kidnapping and assaulting a 59-year-old disabled man. The incident began when the suspect allegedly broke into the victim's home on May Avenue.
The suspect reportedly beat the victim and forced him into a black Mercedes sedan, driving him to Camden with the intent of making him withdraw money. When the victim could not comply, he was driven back to his residence.
Responding to a 911 call, officers encountered the Mercedes as it returned. The injured victim escaped during the traffic stop. The suspect, Lahque St. Juste, was charged with multiple offenses, including kidnapping, aggravated assault, and resisting arrest, after allegedly biting an officer during his apprehension.
