Albert Hysaj, aged 42, has been sentenced to six months imprisonment after being discovered by a police dog. The incident occurred in May at a commercial property on the Bowen Industrial Estate in Aberbargoed, Caerphilly county. Hysaj had attempted to hide behind a fake wall but was located by a police dog named Asko.
During a search of the premises, Gwent Police uncovered a significant cannabis cultivation operation. Officers found 313 cannabis plants spread across three rooms within two linked units. The site also featured a living area equipped with a kitchen and bathroom. Police highlighted that dismantling such cannabis factories disrupts illegal activities often linked to organized crime.
