Bradley Nightingale, 29, has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for the murder of his friend, Jake Mills, 34. The fatal stabbing occurred at Mills' flat in Cheslyn Hay in September 2025. Following the attack, Nightingale stole Mills' Audi A5, crashing it minutes later and fleeing on foot.
Investigators discovered Nightingale used Mills' bank card for bus travel and attempted to buy alcohol after the murder. He also sold the victim's phone the same morning he fled. Nightingale was apprehended at his home on September 20, 2025, two days after the crime.
During his interview, Nightingale offered a prepared statement, claiming he had permission to drive the car and denying any involvement in the murder or injury.
