Jacob Leslie Simcock, a 35-year-old man from Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, has been sentenced to 14 years and 10 months in prison for a series of severe crimes against two women. His offenses include rape, intentional strangulation, stalking, and threatening to share indecent images.
During the incidents last year, Simcock raped and strangled one victim. He also threatened to share intimate recordings of her and prevent her from contacting others. He further engaged in strangulation, stalking, and threats against a second woman, attempting to dissuade her from reporting him to the police.
Authorities found that Simcock had threatened to petrol bomb one victim's house and had made recordings of the other victim without her knowledge. He was also convicted of engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour.
Detective Constable Adele Thompson expressed satisfaction with the substantial sentence, stating that Simcock's actions were "utterly deplorable." He has been placed on the sex offenders register for life and given an indefinite restraining order to protect both survivors.
