A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after being injured in what West Mercia Police have described as a likely targeted attack. The incident occurred on Friday at approximately 17:30 GMT on the B5062, near Crugtone Way in Crudgington, north of Telford. The victim had reportedly pulled over his vehicle when another man approached, opened his car door, and attacked him with a bladed article.
Authorities are actively seeking information from the public regarding the assault. The suspect, who was driving a dark-coloured van, is described as being approximately 6ft tall, black, and wearing dark clothing. Detective Sergeant Steve Miller urged anyone who witnessed the assault or has relevant dash-cam footage to contact the police, emphasizing that initial inquiries suggest the attack was not random.
Police are treating the incident seriously and are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with dash-cam footage that may have captured the event or the suspect's van.
