Joiner's family reported he was attempting to protect his loved ones during the violent home invasion. Investigators utilized Flock camera technology, which proved instrumental in locating and apprehending Sirmons in Cobb County within three hours of the incident. Sirmons was found guilty on multiple charges, including felony murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, exploitation of a disabled adult, home invasion, burglary, and cruelty to children.
