A man in Buffalo Township, Pennsylvania, faces serious charges after allegedly attempting to demolish his home with his family inside. Erik Pierwsza, 48, was arrested on Tuesday, May 26, following a domestic dispute.
According to investigators, Pierwsza reacted aggressively when his wife asked for a divorce, allegedly stating he would tear the house down if the marriage was over. Shortly thereafter, he is accused of operating an excavator to demolish parts of the residence while his wife and two daughters were still present.
Fortunately, the woman and children escaped the incident without physical harm. However, authorities reported that the destruction impacted the home's structural integrity. Pierwsza surrendered to police and has been charged with causing catastrophe, disorderly conduct, and three counts of recklessly endangering another person. He is currently being held on $10,000 bail.
