A San Mateo County man, Andrew Ryan Coleman, 34, faces a potential life sentence after being convicted of killing his pregnant girlfriend and their unborn child. Jurors returned guilty verdicts for two counts of second-degree murder following a 22-day trial.
Prosecutors stated that Coleman strangled 37-year-old Kirsten Castle in their home on August 4, 2024. She was eight months pregnant with their child. Castle's child from a previous marriage discovered her deceased. Coleman then allegedly stole Castle's car and fled to West Covina in Los Angeles County.
