Jamshedpur Man Held After Viral Harassment Video

A 23-year-old man was apprehended on Friday after a disturbing video of him publicly harassing a woman surfaced online. The incident took place the previous evening at approximately 8 pm when the 21-year-old victim visited a local shop.
The viral footage appears to show the accused, identified as Kanhaiya Rajak, placing a lit cigarette on the woman's cheek, resulting in an injury. As the woman attempted to escape the assault, Rajak allegedly tried to forcibly disrobe her in the public space.
He further directed abuses at the shop owner when the latter attempted to intervene. Eyewitnesses, speaking anonymously, have indicated that Rajak is allegedly involved in the illegal liquor trade within the vicinity. The deputy SP confirmed the arrest and stated appropriate action would follow.
