Fugitive Found Hiding in Nativity Scene

In a surprising turn of events, a 38-year-old man sought by police was arrested after being discovered hiding within a life-size Nativity scene. The incident occurred in Galatone, located in southern Italy, on December 6th.

Galatone Mayor Flavio Filoni noticed an anomaly while walking past the display, initially mistaking the man for part of the scene. His suspicion led to a police investigation, confirming the man was a fugitive wanted for resisting a public official and aggravated assault. The man had been missing since his sentencing.

Local and state police, along with Carabinieri, were involved in the apprehension. Mayor Filoni commended the community's collaboration with law enforcement, highlighting the importance of their daily work in ensuring safety and legality.
